An Dinh Palace, located in Hue city, is a unique architectural work of the Nguyen Dynasty, bearing the mark of the cultural exchange between Asia and Europe. Built in the early 20th century, this place was once the residence of King Bao Dai and the royal family after his abdication. With its ancient beauty and special historical value, An Dinh Palace is a destination not to be missed when exploring the heritage of the ancient capital of Hue.

Right at the entrance, we will see Khai Tuong Pavilion, the main architectural work of An Dinh Palace, consisting of 3 floors, with a bold architectural style combining Asia and Europe.
On the opposite side, is the main gate of An Dinh Palace, commonly known as “Tam Quan Gate” with its prominent arched gate architecture, along with Trung Lap communal house, where there is a 1:1 scale statue of King Khai Dinh – the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Going inside Khai Tuong tower, there is a magnificent palace, over 700m2 wide (3 floors), the former residence of King Khai Dinh.
Inside the palace are currently displayed artifacts used by the king, paintings of high artistic value, the most prominent of which are 6 paintings depicting real scenes of 5 Hue tombs, namely: Dong Khanh Tomb, Tu Duc Tomb, Thieu Tri Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb and Gia Long Tomb.

The 2nd and 3rd floors were formerly the residence of the Queen Mother Tu Cung. Currently, they display antiques and precious paintings and documents of King Khai Dinh and Queen Nam Phuong in ancient times.
The architecture inside Khai Tuong building is really beautiful, symmetrical design in almost every place, along with harmonious Asian - European interior. This place is also often chosen by couples as a wedding photography location, as well as Vietnamese singers and actors choose as the main filming location for their products.
Going out to the balcony of the 2nd floor, we can take a closer look at the building's architecture.
Here, I can also see Trung Lap communal house as well as Tam Quan gate from above.
After exploring the inside of Khai Tuong Palace, I continued to move to the back of the palace. This place is also a very beautiful place to take pictures, with many ancient buildings and flower gardens, ...
Through many upheavals, this work still exists, becoming an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists, reminiscent of a glorious period of the ancient capital of Hue.
