The University of Sydney (USYD) is a university in Australia, ranked in the top 3 largest universities in the country, and in the top 50 best universities in the world in 2023 (according to University Rankings). Not only famous for its outstanding training quality, the University of Sydney is also known as one of the universities with the most beautiful architecture in Australia.

University of Sydney is located in the city center, about 5km from Sydney Opera House, 10 minutes by train or bus from Central Station.

Beautiful trees right at the school gate.

I came here in the first days of November, the time when the school was surrounded by jacaranda flowers.

The path leads to the school's sports field.

You can also see my articles “Places to see Jacaranda in Sydney" HERE .

Almost every building has a purple poinciana tree in front.

I will leave a map of the locations I will take photos of today below for you to easily find. I got the map from the school's website, you can refer to the locations of other school buildings at: https://maps.sydney.edu.au/

My photo shoot schedule today.

The next place I went to was the Faculty of Medicine building, which has a row of beautiful purple poinciana trees in front of the door.

This place is also chosen by many students as a place to take graduation photos.

And the focal point of my photo shoot today is The Quadrangle Building, home to some of the school's most stunning architectural gems.

The Quadrangle Building.
Gate to the quadrangle.

The quadrangle is built in Gothic Revival architecture, an architectural style inspired by medieval architecture.

There are numerous doorways here, offering perfect spots to stand behind and capture photos while gazing out at the historic buildings beyond.

In one corner of the building, there’s also a jacaranda tree. However, by the time I arrived, many of its blossoms had already fallen. Late October is the perfect time to visit the University of Sydney for photos. The weather is cool, the sunlight is gentle, and the jacaranda trees are in full, vibrant bloom—a scene that’s sure to leave you captivated. ., cool temperature, not too harsh sunlight, along with purple phoenix flowers at their most beautiful bloom will certainly not disappoint you.

The purple poinciana tree is at the corner of the building.

The school campus really resembles Hogwarts, the famous magic school in the Harry Potter series.

The Quadrangle Building was built in 1854. It has been 170 years, and it is still the center for major school ceremonies and events.

Check out all the photos I took at the Quadrangle Building. Thanks for reading to the end.
