Quy Nhon is one beautiful coastal city in central Vietnam, way Phu Yen about 90km to the North. This place is famous for its vast sand dunes, peaceful coastal fishing villages, giant windmills, and especially its long, beautiful beaches. It will definitely be a great choice when you travel to the Central region of Vietnam.
Through this article, I will suggest to you schedule explore all the beautiful places in Quy Nhon in only 1 day (including famous places, and hidden gems that few people know about). Follow along!
About How to get to Quy Nhon, I took a plane to Phu Cat airport (Quy Nhon), then took a car from the airport to the hotel. Because the airport is far from the city center (about 40km), taking a taxi is quite expensive, so I booked a car in advance on the Quy Nhon car group at a much cheaper cost (from 200-250k VND for a 5-seat car).
To be in the best condition Explore Quy Nhon, I took the 7pm flight the day before, arrived to settle my luggage and go try some local food before starting my journey early the next morning.
Right after going from the airport to the city center, I tried the Xu Nau fish salad restaurant, a Specialty food in Quy Nhon.

In the picture are shrimp rolls, fish salad and grilled beef. Shrimp rolls / fish salad rolled with raw vegetables and rice paper, dipped in the restaurant's own sauce, very delicious and rich. The restaurant staff is also very nice and enthusiastic, occasionally passing by the table to ask if I need any help (when they see I'm alone).
Below are the places that I have noted down to go to in a day. The beautiful places in Quy Nhon are also quite close to each other, all located in the same area, very convenient for traveling.
From the city center (the area where hotels/homestays are concentrated), to the photo shoot locations is about 20km, so I rented a motorbike at the hotel to go by myself to be proactive with time. You can also rent a car to take you to the locations, but the time will be more limited. Most drivers cannot depart from 5-6 am, which is the best time to take photos in Quy Nhon, in my opinion. And below is a specific schedule for you:
- Quoc Thang gas station.
Surely everyone doesn't understand why I took a photo at a gas station, but this is the place with the first vending machine in Binh Dinh (since 2007) and many famous Vietnamese singers have filmed MVs here.

2. Eo Gio
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/W2tkWZx5kuSDSSJ76
One of the two places that anyone coming to Quy Nhon must go (Eo Gio and Ky Co beach). This place has beautiful coastal cliffs, a suitable place to start your morning.
Eo Gio opening hours are from 7am-7pm, entrance fee is 25,000 VND for adults.
There are also steps down to the rocky beach below, which is the place where people take the most photos when in Eo Gio.
Eo Gio is not a very large place, it only takes you about 1 hour to take pictures and explore around this area. But remember to go early, when the sun is not too hot, taking pictures will be much easier.
3. The green stone coffee road
An extremely beautiful cafe right near Eo Gio, where you can come to have breakfast, rest and take pictures after exploring Eo Gio.
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/amiSAjWdZ1wnp1fp7
The shop has a large campus, many photo angles, and when I went (August), there were also beautiful bougainvillea flowers.
Especially at the back door of the cafe, there is a very beautiful road leading to Nhon Ly fishing village. You just need to leave your car at the cafe and walk down to take pictures. The time to take pictures is only about 30 minutes.
4. Nhon Ly fishing village.
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qX9QGWh1Dm3qJuFCA
At the end of the blue stone road, we will see the fishing village with an extremely long coastline appear right in front of us.
From this coast, we can also admire and take pictures with dozens of giant windmills in the distance.
5. Phuong Mai Wind Power.
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Etrxrj5TaxRynHC49
The photos below were taken on the way to Phuong Mai wind farm. Outside, the scenery is much more beautiful than in the photos.
If you take photos with your phone, use a 3x / 5x lens to capture a “bigger” windmill. If you take photos with a camera, use a telephoto lens with a focal length of 85mm or longer.
6. Nhon Hai fishing village.
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/MtRJ2Xt7iQTTApVJA
On the way to Nhon Hai fishing village, I passed a very beautiful slope, looking straight out to the sea in the distance, with rows of yellow flowers growing on both sides of the road.
Nhon Hai fishing village with blue sea, yellow sunshine, and hundreds of anchored fishing boats creates a very peaceful scene.
There are also many restaurants here that you can try, such as Banh Xeo Co Nam, fresh seafood at Hon Kho, or Coco camp, ...
Today I chose Coco camp for lunch and to rest at the restaurant.
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Si9kfi6MU7P96Uky9
The restaurant also has paddle boarding service and swimsuit rental. You can rent them if needed.
Rocky beach in front of Coco camp.
7. Quy Nhon wind power / Phuong Mai sand hill / Ky Co beach
You can choose one of the above locations as your next destination, depending on your personal preferences and photography style. I will leave the addresses of each location below.
Quy Nhon Wind Power: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TW9UDE5HMv4Z7VtQ7
Phuong Mai sand hill: https://maps.app.goo.gl/oBrXHY8u8FRYRuQS9
Ky Co Beach: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gGqzm164TxjQkjy2A
Of the 3 locations above, only Ky Co beach has limited entry time (open from 7am - 5pm), so please pay attention to the time to arrange your schedule appropriately.
8. Quy Nhon Twin Towers
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ly8n8n4YyprGSXGL7
Unlike the above locations, Quy Nhon Twin Towers is located in the city center, where there are many restaurants and it is convenient for me to check out of the hotel and get on the bus to Phu Yen. That is why I chose Twin Towers as the last location in the Quy Nhon discovery journey mine
The Twin Towers consist of two adjacent towers, of which the larger tower is about 20 meters high and the smaller tower is about 18 meters high, and both are of the ancient Cham tower type.
Both towers are decorated with intricate carvings, including images of deities, patterns and sacred symbols such as the Garuda bird and the statue of Shiva – representing strength and protection.
Twin Towers Entrance Ticket only 20k VND for adults, Opening hours from 7am - 6pm every day of the week.
9. Jumping shrimp pancake
And the last place in Quy Nhon Discovery Day My restaurant is the jumping shrimp pancake restaurant - a specialty in Quy Nhon. The restaurant I chose today is Moc Mien restaurant, right next to this restaurant there is also another very crowded pancake restaurant, everyone can choose according to their preferences. I will leave the Google map addresses of both restaurants below:
Moc Mien pancakes: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yiHKXYWvGUVeQ38L9
Gia Vy Pancakes: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vEN3YBV767iyrbTg7
In my opinion, the food is quite fresh and delicious, with lots of fresh vegetables, and the staff serves quickly. Highly recommend everyone to come here and try it.
And above is my 1-day itinerary to explore Quy Nhon. The itinerary starts at 6am and ends at 6pm. And then I move from Quy Nhon to Phu Yen to continue the journey. Articles about Phu Yen will be in the upcoming articles on my personal Blog, please pay attention to read.

That day I also visited the twin towers and ate jumping shrimp pancakes. It would be a waste to come to Quy Nhon without eating jumping shrimp pancakes.
The photo set is lush and beautiful.
One day to explore so many wonderful places.
