Coming to the land of the Rising Sun, seeing and taking photos with Mount Fuji is definitely the wish of all tourists, as well as Japanese people. This is the highest mountain in Japan and the 7th highest mountain in the world, so viewing it is quite simple. You can watch from the high-rise buildings of Tokyo, the beach in Enoshima, or the roads of Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures, ...
And today, I will share with everyone my journey to see Mount Fuji in Yamanashi province. I will all use public transportation and getting around is extremely simple.
The first place to start your journey to see Mount Fuji is Kawaguchiko Station.

At Shinjuku Station - Tokyo, you can choose a bus or train to get here. The bus ride will take 1 hour 45 minutes and 2200 JPY, while the train ride will take 2 hours 20 minutes and 3000 JPY. Therefore, you should choose to take the bus to optimize your travel time.
You can buy bus tickets in advance at Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (located in front of Shinjuku station). You should buy tickets in advance as soon as possible because tickets sell out very quickly, especially during holidays or cherry blossom and red leaf seasons.

As soon as we exit Kawaguchiko station, we can easily see Mount Fuji right in front of us, a very majestic sight.
Because the places to visit today are all within a 2-5km radius from the train station, I rented a bicycle so I could have more freedom in taking photos without having to rely on buses or taxis. Around Kawaguchiko Station, there are also many bicycle rental shops to serve tourists, rental prices range from 1500 JPY - 4000 JPY depending on the type of bicycle you choose (terrain bicycle - power assisted bicycle - bicycle). electric pedal).

After renting a bicycle, I went to Shimoyoshida Honcho Street, an extremely famous road with a direct view of Mount Fuji.

If we continue to move on this road about 1km towards Mount Fuji, we will see a huge Torii gate located right at an intersection.

The next place I went to was Chureito Pagoda, one of the most famous places to view Mount Fuji in Japan.
Address: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vhZbE7GUbrJRY3ei8
This temple is only about 1km from Shimoyoshida Honcho street, about 10 minutes by bike.
The temple is famous for its five-story stupa located on a hilltop facing Mount Fuji in Arakurayama Sengen Park.
We will have to climb a total of 398 steps to reach the observation deck of the 5-story tower. Not a small challenge for those who are not familiar with climbing.
We can also easily see beautiful views of the entire city on our climbing journey.
And this is the result after about 20 minutes of climbing:
And my last place of the day is Oishi Park located along Lake Kawaguchi, one of the 5 large lakes surrounding Mount Fuji.

This is a large park with dozens of different seasonal flowers, and also has a direct view of Mount Fuji.
When you come to Oishi Park, don't forget to try the special green grape, plum, peach, or lavender ice cream here.
End your day exploring Yamanashi prefecture with a bike ride around Lake Kawaguchi to watch the sunset and return to the bike rental shop to return the bike.
Yamanashi is one of the prefectures that has beautiful scenery in all seasons of the year. Spring with cherry blossoms around Chureito Pagoda, summer with lavender at the foot of Mount Fuji in Oishi Park, autumn with red leaves at Mount Fuji in Oishi Park, and winter with snow covering the top of Mount Fuji.
Hopefully this article will make it easier for you to learn and plan your trip to Yamanashi to see Mount Fuji. Thanks for reading to the end of the article.

Thank you for this article.
Can you tell me if there is a parking space when riding a bicycle to Chureito Pagoda? Thank you.
Yes, there is a private bicycle parking lot at the temple.
If I park my bike at Oishi Park or anywhere else, will I lose my bike? Are there any regulations on where to park my bike in the park or anywhere else? Will I be fined for parking incorrectly? Do you drive on the left in Japan like Thailand? I'm going to Japan soon and hope you can answer me.
In Japan, driving is on the left. Oishi and Chureito both have their own parking lots. Many tourists experience sightseeing by bicycle, so you don't have to worry.
