November every year is truly the best time to see Japan in the fall, along with Yellow leaves from ginkgo trees, the maple leaf (momiji) is also a symbol of autumn in the Land of the Rising Sun. Today I will introduce to you one of the earliest places to see red leaves in Kyoto - the Japanese style garden Suikei-en (水景園). Let's explore!

This garden is located in Keihanna Memorial Park (けいはんな記念公園). You go to Shin-Hōsono station, then take bus number 36 or 56, it takes about 10 minutes to arrive at the park gate.

The road in front of the park.

The road leading to the park is also wonderful, with 3 rows of yellow-leafed trees stretching over 2km along with many corners to take photos.

This road also has a very wide pedestrian path.
Right in front of the park there are also many red leaves.

Let's go inside the park to see what's there.

Entrance fee to Suikei-en garden is 200 JPY for adults and 100 JPY for students. In addition, the garden also offers free admission for people over 60 years old and children under school age.

First we will pass through the Kangetsukyo bridge, a bridge 10 meters high and over 100 meters long, where we can see the entire garden from above.

Let's take a look at some of the pictures I took from Kangetsukyo Bridge!

A small waterfall inside the garden.
The clusters of rocks are very beautiful with maple leaves.

Two red maple trees with different colors.
On the opposite side of the garden is Nagatani pond with beautiful scenery.

Nagatani Pond is designed in tiers, like terraced fields, and creates beautiful "mini waterfalls".

People can freely visit and walk through the stones.
Above the bridge is also an ideal place to take photos.

After completing this bridge, we will reach the performing arts stage area. At the time I visited, many performances were taking place, including performances of traditional musical instruments, as well as dance performances by dancers.

Traditional musical instrument performance.

Above the stage there are also many very interesting looking statues.

After watching all the performances here, I went down to visit and take photos of the garden.

Walkway down to the garden.

The path down to the garden is many steps made of stone.

Below the Kangetsukyo Bridge.

It's sunny today so the colors of the maple leaves come out very beautifully.

It seems that this place is very little known, so it is not as crowded as the famous Kyomizu Dera or Arashiyama.

Going to the middle of the garden, we can see the entire beautiful Kangetsukyo bridge from below.

The photo I like the most today.
Another angle of the bridge.

Inside the garden there are many beautiful small waterfalls, which are a favorite place for many people to take photos.

The closer you get to the end of the garden, the more red maple trees there are.

This garden is suitable for all ages. Everyone can enjoy.
This photo is as beautiful as a postcard.

After going around the garden, we will go to the Nagatani pond area.

People can comfortably walk on the surface of the pond through stone steps.

This area also has many benches for people to sit and rest, admire the scenery and feed the fish.

After going through these stairs, there is the exit of the garden.

After visiting Suikei-en garden, because the time was still quite early (about 4 pm), and the sunshine was also very beautiful, I decided to walk along the yellow leafed path here to take photos with the king. kiss.

The golden sunlight of the sunset makes the photo color very beautiful.

And this is the end of my perfect day with hundreds of beautiful photos taken. Luckily, the weather was supportive, no more rain like every time I went out 😀
