May 5 every year is Kodomo no hi, a children's holiday in Japan. During this time, it is easy to see carp flags hung high in parks or traditional markets. And one of the most beautiful and popular places to hang flags in the Kansai area is a park Akutagawa Sakurazutsumi in Takatsuki city, Osaka.

Akutagawa Sakurazutsumi Park during the festival.

This park is about a 15-minute walk from JR Takatsuki station. If you don't want to walk for a long time, you can also take the bus right in front of the station.

Carp flag hanging time is from April 22 to May 5 every year.

On April 29 every year, music and dance events from local music and dance groups are also held here. During the event there will also be shops selling food, toys and a play area for children.

The time of hanging the carp flag also coincides with Japan's Golden Week holiday, so many families with their children come here to attend, take photos, and picnic. In front of the park there is also the Akuta River with low water level, children can also comfortably play in the river.

Let's see some beautiful photography angles with carp flags here.

The most famous shooting angle of the park.

However, if you don't go early, this angle will have a lot of people stuck in the photo frame. The time when the park is most empty is before 10 am, so arrange your time to go as early as possible to avoid crowds.

In addition, if you can't get here early, there will still be photo spots with very little traffic, located on the slopes next to the park. Come see with me.

A slope next to the park. Being able to stand on the slope and shoot from the bottom up creates this scene.

The best time to take photos here is around 4pm, when the sun has softened and has the yellow color of sunset.

I stood here taking photos from 4 o'clock until sunset, to capture everyday moments here.

An extremely lovely moment, even though the composition isn't right, I still really like this photo.

A father stopped his car and watched the carp flags flying in the wind with his children.
