Every May 5th is Kodomo no hi, Children's Day in Japan. During this time, it is common to see carp streamers hanging high in parks and traditional markets. And one of the most beautiful and crowded places to hang streamers in the Kansai region is Akutagawa Sakurazutsumi Park in Takatsuki City, Osaka.

This park is about a 15-minute walk from JR Takatsuki Station. If you don't want to walk for a long time, you can also take the bus right in front of the station.

Carp flag hanging time is from April 22 to May 5 every year.

On April 29th every year, music and dance performances from local groups are also held here. During the event, there are also shops selling food, toys, and a play area for children.

The time for hanging the carp flags coincides with Japan's Golden Week holiday, so many families with children come here to participate, take photos, and enjoy picnics. In front of the park, there is also the Akuta River with a low water level, allowing children to play comfortably in the river.

Let's see some beautiful photography angles with carp flags here.

The most famous shooting angle of the park.

However, if you don't arrive early, this spot can get quite crowded, and people might end up in your photos. The park is least crowded before 10 a.m., so try to go as early as possible to avoid the crowds.

In addition, if you can't make it here early, there are still photo spots with very little traffic, located on the slopes next to the park. Come along and explore them with me.

The best time to take photos here is around 4 p.m., when the sun has softened and takes on the warm, golden hue of the sunset.

I stood here taking photos from 4 o'clock until sunset, to capture everyday moments here.

An extremely lovely moment, even though the composition isn't right, I still really like this photo.

A father stopped his car and watched the carp flags fluttering in the wind with his children.
