Melbourne is known for its impressive skyline, where towering skyscrapers stand shoulder to shoulder. To truly appreciate the beauty of this modern city, viewing it from above is a must. In today’s post, I’ll introduce you to one of the best spots to capture breathtaking aerial views: Melbourne Skydeck.

Melbourne Skydeck Address: Google Map

Melbourne Skydeck sits on the 88th floor of the iconic Eureka Tower – one of the tallest buildings in the Southern Hemisphere. Conveniently located just 800 meters from the famous Flinders Street Station, it’s easily accessible for visitors exploring the city.

Entrance fees range from AUD 30 to 50, depending on the time of day — the earlier you book, the cheaper the ticket. Each ticket allows a single entry, but once you’re inside, you can stay and enjoy the view for as long as you like. Just keep in mind that re-entry is not permitted.

The Skydeck offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of Melbourne’s stunning cityscape. From up here, you can spot many of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Flinders Street Station, St Paul's Cathedral , the legendary MCG Stadium, Federation Square, and the Shrine of Remembrance (war memorial).

Tram – the most popular public transport in Melbourne.

Melbourne is one of my favorite cities in Australia. It’s a vibrant, modern metropolis filled with towering skyscrapers, historic architecture, and endless shops, cafes, and restaurants. Getting around is a breeze thanks to its efficient public transport system — trams, buses, and trains can take you almost anywhere in the city.

But what I love most about Melbourne isn’t just its modern lifestyle or convenience — it’s the perfect harmony between city life and nature. Within just a 30–45 minute drive or train ride from the city center, you can find yourself in a national park, on a quiet beach, or standing beside majestic rock formations — often with hardly anyone else around.

In addition to offering stunning panoramic views of the city, Melbourne Skydeck also features a small bar where visitors can enjoy light snacks and drinks.

Australia's tallest postbox is also located here.

In addition to the Skydeck Bar, visitors can also try the Skydeck Edge — a thrilling experience where you stand inside a transparent glass cube that slowly extends out from the building. The “Edge Experience” ticket is not included in the general admission and must be purchased separately. You can book it in advance HERE .

I arrived around 3 to 4 PM, when the sunlight was soft and perfect for photos — and I didn’t have to wait long for the sunset. In just two hours, I captured Melbourne from three different angles: in daylight, during the golden hour, and at night.

But of course — man proposes, God disposes! 😄 Even though I had checked the weather forecast carefully before heading up, the sky grew cloudier as sunset approached.

I still managed to capture some lovely shots, but I wasn’t completely satisfied. I’ll definitely be coming back again to “take my revenge”! 😄

The city has begun to light up.

And here are some views of the city at night — not overwhelmed by flashing LED billboards like in Japan, but glowing in Melbourne’s own unique and subtle way.

And that wraps up all the information and photos I captured at Melbourne Skydeck 88 — a place that offers sweeping views of the city and unique experiences from nearly 300 meters above the ground.
