April is my lie, but it is also the month of a flower that symbolizes eternal love in Japan – wisteria.
The place I visited today to admire the wisteria flowers is the Kasuga Taisha Botanical Garden.
Kasuga Taisha is located in the center of Nara Park, one of Japan's largest and oldest parks.

The best time to see the wisteria flowers in full bloom here is around the end of April and early May.
First, take a stroll around the entrance gate.

One sunny day …

…signaling a day with many beautiful pictures :)))

Let's head to the botanical garden to admire the flowers.

There are more than 200 wisteria trees here, with all kinds, from purple, white or pink...

The wisteria flower garden is located next to the koi fish pond.

Besides photographers, it's also common to see artists here, creating a very relaxed vibe :)))

Besides wisteria, there are many other beautiful flowers here as well.

I had no idea what flower it was until I looked down at its base :)))

The entrance fee is 400 yen for adults and 200 yen for children.
The next place I visited was Kasuga Shrine , located right outside the exit gate of the botanical garden and still within the grounds of Nara Park.

Nara Park is famous for its domesticated deer, with over 1,200 animals freely roaming across this 600-hectare park.

Most of the deer here have had their antlers cut off by the government to ensure the safety of tourists. They are also very friendly, eating grass and senbei (a type of biscuit for deer, sold throughout the park for tourists to buy and feed the deer). The deer here are very smart, they know how to stand and take pictures with tourists, and are especially good at "tricking" tourists into feeding them by bowing continuously - a traditional form of greeting of the Japanese people.

Now, let's head inside the temple grounds.

Kasuga Taisha is renowned for its over 3,000 stone and bronze lanterns scattered throughout the temple grounds.

On February 3 every year, the Setsubun Mantoro Festival takes place here, during which all the lanterns are lit. This festival has been celebrated for over 800 years, and many prominent figures have donated lanterns over time. Among these are some lanterns bearing the names of famous samurai from the Warring States period (1467-1603).

The next place I visited in Nara Park is Mizuya Chaya – a legendary restaurant that becomes a symbol of Nara Park every autumn when the red leaves arrive, making it a favorite spot for photographers :)))

The final destination, and also the most physically demanding one of the day, is Wakakusa Mountain.

Admission: 150 Yen for adults.

There is another hill of reed grass higher up, and the higher you go, the more breathtaking the view becomes :)))

And here’s the view after reaching halfway up the mountain:

There are also many stone benches here for people to rest and enjoy the view of the city below...

Or... give out dog food =)))

So angry =))) Continue climbing...

And then another beautiful staircase…

There are quite a few "lonely trees" here, so you can take lots of virtual photos :)))

And finally, here’s the result: reaching the highest peak of the mountain ~.~

End of the day after walking 15km ~.~

Please give a heart to anyone who sees all my photos :))) ❤️

And finally, here’s today’s author photo ^,^ Thank you for staying with me until the very end!
